Sleep? Who needs that?

Well, apparently Kaylan doesn't think I need sleep. She must have had a nightmare or something because she woke up at 2:30 this morning just crying. I was hoping that if I waited 15 minutes or so that she would calm herself down but no such luck. So I went over to get her and bring her in our bed and she laid there for about 20 minutes and decided that she wanted "nummies." Hello! It's freaking 3:00 in the morning and she's hungry? I got up with her and handed her a nutritious snack (a snickerdoodle) but she passed. She wanted a "go-gur" (yogurt). Well, of course she needed to watch a movie after she ate so guess what she wanted to watch at this lovely time of the morning.....Barney! Freaking Barney! Of all the children's shows we have she wants the purple dinosaur. She eventually went back to sleep but of course I was completely wide awake. So here I am finding myself once again...at the computer. Fun times are these. I guess you never know when, or for that matter, what time of the day you will be spending precious time with your little ones even if it is at 3:00 in the morning! I love you Buggy!

The Girls and Their Friends

Kenslee has found a really good friend to play with in the neighborhood. Her name is Linsey Austad and she has a younger sister, Alissa, that is Kaylan's age so they all play really well together. It's so fun to see them play!

Our House

So we have been in our home now for almost 5 months and we absolutely love it up here. We have a really good ward even though I was very skeptical at first. I thought we had made a mistake of moving into a "snobby" ward. Some of the homes around here are HUGE. But I was wrong. The people here are really sweet and I even found a coupon partner! As it turned out, she is my visiting teaching companion.
We have many projects going right now. Tony has a huge list he's working on. Two of the main ones are the basement and the yard. He's doing a great job. It's so hard to do these things with kids!! Hopefully the basement will be done by November. The yard is the next big project and hopefully that will get done in the next month or two. Anyway, here are some pics of the new digs.

Who'd Ever thought......Me reading a book about.....Vampires????

So I have been succombed by peer pressure to read the book "Twilight" I was a little skeptical since it is about Vampires. I am in no way interested in Vampires but EVERYBODY and their dog just absolutely rave about this book. Thanks to Annette, at my work, I am reading her copy. I am one of many at work that is using her book. Thanks Annette!
I am just now getting into the good part and of all the days to leave the thing at work!!! I was on the freeway going home and about had a heart attack. My heart was pounding and racing so hard because of the traumitization of realizing I had left "Twilight" all alone in the lab without my company! I was devastated. I almost did a U-turn on the freeway. I got home and shared the devastation with my husband and he joked about going to get it. As I was running to get my keys my husband quickly grabbed them out of my hand and said he was kidding. He told me he already feels lonely because my nose has been stuck in this book ever since I brought it home! Men! They just don't understand!

Yay! Kenslee has friends!!!

Today we had playgroup and it was at our house. It goes from 1:30-3:30 on Mondays and Thursdays. Kenslee was so excited for the girls to come over to our house. I think she asked about every hour when the girls were coming over! I was going crazy. Kenslee had a great time with her little friends--Kaylie Knoles, Linsey Austad, Natalie Pulsipher, and Ashlynn Young. I bought some little wooden frames and some things to decorate them with from the craft store. They had a great time making their cute frames. They turned out darling!
We were shocked to hear that Kenslee wants to actually have a birthday party this year! Thank goodness for friends!

Yesterday when I picked up the girls from the babysitter Kenslee had mentioned that she had a cough. So as soon as we got home she told me that she had better go get her pajamas on since she was "sick." She had told me that she had been coughing a lot at the babysitter's and then it stopped---then all of a sudden "it comed alive again mommy!" I thought that was pretty cute. Last night she was terrified of the storm and she came into my room and asked me if we were going to die. Needless to say, she ended up sleeping on the floor next to my bed.

Over Labor day weekend my parents invited us to go camping with them to Mantua. It is absolutely beautiful up there. I love it. We packed up our things after I got home from work on Friday night and met my parents up there. Mom and Dad were kind enough to stop by the house while I was at work to pick up my bike (well, Tony's bike). Kenslee was so excited to go camping that she left early with them. Tony, Kaylan, and I eventually made it up to the campground around 9:00. It was fun. Kenslee and Kaylan had a blast. I went for a couple of bike rides which was nice. Nothing is better than going for a bike ride in such an open space.
Dad and I decided to go for a walk and watch some of the people loading their boats up! What a hoot that was! I haven't had entertainment like that for quite some time. We justified laughing at these people since we figured that many others had a good time laughing at our family throughout the years.
It was so pretty up there that I took advantage of it to get some pictures. Kenslee was usually off playing somewhere with Alonzo that I didn't get very many of her. Poor Buggy!
