Almost Too Pretty To Eat!

Take a look at this fabulous ice cream treat! Almost looks too good to eat eh? Get the recipe here. I am SO making these!

Getting the Yard Ready!

We are so excited to be getting our yard ready for some grass and an RV pad. Tony had a "bobcat" brought to our house and he was shuffling dirt every which way with that thing. We needed some fill dirt so he was going around to the empty lots in the neighborhood. It was kinda funny. I think he just wanted to ride in that more than anything. Such a boy!

Sun Dresses

I was at the store a few days ago and stumbled upon the CUTEST fabric ever! I thought, "Hello, I can make sun dresses for the girls!" So....I did. Kinda proud of myself. These are Kenslee's dresses. Kaylan has the same ones in a smaller version.
Too bad it's supposed to freakin' SNOW today and tomorrow! What's up UTAH????

Baby Abby

My sister in law had a baby on April 23rd. She delivered an adorable baby girl named Abby. We're so excited to have another girl on the Rydman side. We were getting a little lonely being the only ones!
Isn't she precious? Kaylan didn't want to stop looking at her. She is such a little mommy.

FYI: These pics aren't the best quality. I took them with my camera phone. Forgot my "nice" camera.

Lost a Tooth

Today Kenslee lost her first tooth. She was at the babysitter's when it happened. She was so proud. Apparently she just kept wiggling it until it came out. Good job Kens!

What a Guy

Tony made dinner last Sunday. Man, was it good. He likes to cook and he's pretty good at it. We had ribs, mashed potatoes, strawberries, and salad. Yummm. So tasty and very filling.

Go Green

Super hip and so super cute! Pedaling, I think you would like this too!

Ahhhhh {Sigh} So Heavenly

What I wouldn't give to be here putting my feet up. I so wish I was here right now. How beautiful and serene is this?

My Calling

Well, now that it is official, I have been called to be the 2nd counselor in the primary presidency. A little bit of a shocker to me. I'm a bit nervous. We have almost 200 children in the primary. It's huge! The one I really feel sorry for is the secretary. I've been there and wow, that's a lot of work! She'll do great though. She's an awesome gal. So, there ya have it. I'm in the primary once again.

Helping the Neighbors

Yesterday as I was making dinner I noticed that the people who live behind us were getting ready to lay their sod. They are fairly new to the neighborhood and just moved here from Cali. It didn't look like they had a whole lot of help. I felt really bad for them so when Tony came home I told him and he didn't even think twice. He hurried up and ate dinner and made a few phone calls to see if he could get some more help. What a guy. That's a Rydman for ya though. His dad and all of his brothers are like this. Such a neat quality. Always willing to lend a helping hand. No matter what.
After Tony had been out there a while, Kenslee asked me if she could go over there and "help." I hesitated thinking that she would just be in the way but this is what I saw. I was so proud of her. She was working her little heart out! She's such a "daddy's little helper." She did great!

Meanwhile in the house....Kaylan is enjoying a bowl of cereal.
Mmmmmmmm. Gotta get every last drop.

All done. Watching Kenslee and Daddy working in the neighbor's yard.

Planting Seeds

Well, on Monday I thought it would be fun to have the girls start planting seeds so we can start a garden. It's still too cold to plant outside so we decided to do some starts indoors. While we were doing this, we decided to incorporate a little lesson with this activity. We talked about planting our own seeds and gaining a testimony. Kaylan had no clue what we were talking about and just as I thought Kenslee was sinking it all in (due to her deep in thought face) she asks, "So, mommy, we have a plant growing inside of my tummy?" Well, that explains the "deep in thought" facial expression. Oh well. I tried. Anyhoo, here are some pictures.
No, this is not dirt on Kaylan's hands and mouth. It's chocolate.

This is what they look like as of today! We're making progress!

Guesses?

Well, my husband and I were called in to meet with the bishopric last night at the church. My first thought when I received the phone call was, "Uh oh. This means a calling for one of us. Probably me." My stomach was in knots! Well, my instincts were right. I received a new calling. Can anybody guess what I was called to?

Subversive at Target

How cute are these? I'm quite partial to the butterfly one. These are at none other than Target. They have partnered up with Subversive Jewelry. I think these are great spring items.

The Time Has Come...

Yes, we are about to have another little Ma'am or Sir in our household. It would be fun to have a little Sir in the fam. This happened WAY quicker than we had anticipated. I was pregnant just DAYS after I went off birth control. Can we say Fertile Myrtle????!!! The girls are way excited. Kenslee has been a good little secret keeper. She's known for quite a while now. I told her not to tell anybody. She didn't even want to tell her daddy! She was mad when I told her he already knew. We have held off telling people because I had two miscarriages right before Kaylan.
I love my new doctor--actually he's a midwife. They do an ultrasound every time! YAY! I like that. In fact, before today's ultrasound, I was sure I was having twins due to the fact that I feel like the fattest person on earth. Thank goodness there is only one.
I haven't really been in the blogging mood due to feeling sick ALL the time. I haven't thrown up but I'm nauseous. A LOT. Way more than my other two. Poor Kenslee keeps asking, "Mom, when are you not going to be sick anymore?" and as soon as I pick up Kaylan from the neighbor's house she says, "Mommy, your tummy hurt? You take a nap again?" It seems like every waking moment I am putting on another movie for the girls to watch while I sleep. Yes, I deserve the worst mother of the year award.
Not only am I severely neglecting my children but there is also heaps of laundry and dishes to be done. The daily cleaning----well, there's no such thing right now. My good hubby has been so good to take the girls "out" and "let mommy rest so she's not stressed." He also has been cleaning the house. He's so good.
The new little one is due around November 17th. Hopefully all goes well.
Anyway, that's the big news. 9 weeks. Almost through the first trimester.

{Sorry for waiting so long to tell you Mom. Don't be mad.}

The Office!

I can hardly contain myself! I'm so super excited that this is coming back. Next Thursday, April the 10th to be exact. I have been going through severe withdrawals. I'm so giddy! Yay, yay, yay, yay, yay!!!!!!!

What up Dog?

Holy Smokes! I was a little stunned when I saw this on CNN. Yo, Yo. Welcome to Mormonism Dog. Check the story out here.
Most likely an April Fool's joke. Yeap, indeed it is. At the bottom of the page it says it's a joke. He's not a Mormon.........yet. Ya got me! I've been duped.
That's how rumors get started!!!! LOL

Pretty Little Chair

I have always wanted to take an older piece of furniture and give it a makeover. Look how awesome this chair turned out! I love it!
