I really could use a pair of these. Aren't they so super cute? Yeah, I thought so.

I Promise I'm a Good Mom

The other day my visiting teacher came by. Of course my kids are running around asking me for everything under the sun. It doesn't matter how many times I have to warn them that somebody is coming over to visit mommy and to stay downstairs in the playroom. For some reason it just never works. EVER. Well, this day was no different. We were chatting trying to ignore the kids until I see my 2 year old bee boppin' around the corner with one of these!
Yeah, a huge knife. She was swingin' it back and forth like she was a pirate. I was so embarrassed. I told Kathy that I wasn't a bad mom. I promise! My little Kaylan is into everything. If she can't reach it, she gets a chair and climbs until she can. With Kenslee, we didn't have to worry about anything like that. WOW! And we're having a third? Are we crazy?

My Car Needs a Bath

With all of the rain we've been getting lately, my poor white car needs a good cleaning. I'm afraid of going to the car wash though. I haven't been for about 6 years! So if my car needs washing, my sweet husband will go do it for me. Why don't I go and get it washed? Well, there's this funny little story that goes with that. Wanna hear it? I figured you would. Here goes......
One fine day just 5 months after Tony and I were married, I was out running an errand. I was on my way home and thought my car needed a good wash and I wanted my new husband to be proud that I could do this. So, I buzzed right on over to the car wash. I punched in my code and off we were! Apparently I missed the sign where it said to pull forward and then leave your car in neutral.
As I was sitting in my car glaring and the huge brushes coming at me, it occurred to me that something was wrong. Very wrong! I wasn't sure what but I was very scared. Some how I had managed to get onto the "wrong side of the track." I was about to open my car door and see what was going on but realized a huge brush was coming towards me and that I might be decapitated. So I didn't. Instead, I panicked and cried inside my car wondering what in the crap do to! I was sure there was a video camera in here and somebody was just rolling on the floor laughing at me! I decided to try and drive out. Well, I couldn't. I was stuck and my car was not going anywhere! So....I gunned it. I went full throttle forward and hit something. I heard something break. My headlight was gone. Again, I was stuck so I put the car into reverse and gunned it backwards. Only to run into something else. I kept doing this until I finally gunned it the heck outta there! I got out of my car to see the damage and oh, there was some damage. My front passenger headlight was smashed and there was a huge dent on the front of my car. Not too much damage on the back end. A few scratches. Whew! Thank goodness I was out of that car eating machine.
I went home in tears not knowing what to say to my new husband. So, what did I tell him? Nope, not the truth. I made up some lie about me going into the store and coming out to find that somebody had done a "hit and run" on my car. I knew I was going straight to hell for this! What's even worse? Oh, I just barely told him the truth last summer. Yeah, how lame of a wife am I? But I didn't plan on telling him until we were both 90 years old and making fun of the things we did when we were young. I didn't think I could keep it a secret for 61 more years so I came clean. He didn't even bat an eye. He just shook his head and laughed at me. What was I worried about? I'm lucky I have such a good husband.
I'm not sure how long it will take me to be able to go through a car wash again. They honestly scare the heck out of me. My heart starts a racin' when we drive past one.

Good Day For A Picnic

Today was so pretty. It was actually warm for a change! Wow. Since I had today off I thought that it would be a perfect day for a picnic in the park. Kenslee packed our lunches and boy can she pack! She covered the fruit group pretty well. She had a banana, kiwi, orange, and yogurt for each one of us. The girls had a good ol' PB&J sandwich while I made me a mouth watering chicken salad sandwich. Yum, Yum, Yum! It was delish!
And what's a picnic without a blanket? Hello? Apparently I wasn't thinking because Kenslee quickly piped up and said, "Mom, we have to have a blanket for a picnic!" Well, Duh! What rock have I been under?
We had a fun time. The girls ate and played while I started reading my new book.

It's a Cat. It's a Dog. It's a.....

GOAT? Interesting. Yes. My husband loves animals. He basically grew up with a house full of animals.
So, where are we putting this lovely furry creature? Oh, in the back of the business There are a ton of weeds back there to get this beauty plumpy. Maybe plump enough to sell her in the fall. The girls absolutely love this animal. What can I say? I think she's kinda cute myself.

Good little Goat. She's already doing her job. Eat your heart out.

San Diego Part Three

Coronado Beach

Ahhh. Hotel Del Coronado. Love this place.

I love Coronado Beach. There is just something about this quaint little island. It is absolutely charming here. I always have to visit this place when I come to Cali.

San Diego Part Two

We danced. A LOT. We sure danced our little hearts away.

My sister and I went up to "learn" a little Tahitian dancing. Well, actually, for my sister it was just a refresher. She used to be a Tahitian dancer at the Polynesian Cultural Center when she went to school at BYUH.

Kenslee watched ever so intently. She absolutely loved these dancers!

We're Back! San Diego. Part One

Holy Cow! We're home! We flew home yesterday around 4:30pm. We had such a great time visiting with family. It was sad to leave.
Gees, not only was there a wedding but it was Mother's Day and our 7th Anniversary on Sunday. Lots of stuff going on.
The main reason we went down was for my brother Lance's wedding. I never thought I would see the day that he would tie the knot. He and his wife just graduated from Cal Western Law School the end of April and got hitched on Saturday May 10th.
The wedding couldn't have been more beautiful! It was a long day but very fun. It started with the temple wedding at 8:00am. Yeap folks, AM! Hello, that was a little early! We did the picture thing for a couple of hours and then we had a nice little break until 3:30. 4:00 was when the rest of it started up again. They had a ring ceremony at the Grand Hyatt Regency in downtown San Diego and then the reception followed. It was amazing. Awesome food, super duper entertainment and dancing, dancing, dancing!!!! I danced my little heart away. Tony was a little nervous because he wasn't sure if all that crazy hip hop dancing was safe for the baby. I assured him it was!
Anyhoo, here are some of the pics from that beautiful day.

This would be the entrance to their suite.
