Baby Bentley

Holy Shmoley!  It's high time I update here.  Bentley was born on my birthday.  I chose to be induced on that day.  Some people thought that was weird.  Oh well.  They're not me:)  I think it's fun.  My sister shares her birthday with her youngest as well.
Without further ado, here is Bentley's birth story:
I had been dilated to a 4 for about 3 weeks.  I totally thought that I might go early.  I had been having contractions on and off and was hoping that I would go early.  I don't know why I thought I would because I never have in the past.  I've been induced with all of my kids.
Well, I chose to be induced on my birthday.  That morning at about 5:30 I received a phone call from the hospital saying that it had been super busy all night and that they would put me "on call" which meant that as soon as they had room they would let me know.  I was totally fine with that.  The only reason I was even going in today was because of my own selfish reasons;)  Plus, we had some things to get done on Saturday anyway.  We were running our errands and I was feeling a little guilty that I was electing to go in and if they were really that busy at the hospital then I didn't NEED to be going in.  So, I called and let them know that I could wait and didn't need to come in today.  If there were other people that were needing to go in before me that was fine.  They assured me that I was fine.  They even talked to my doctor who was doing a C-section at the time and she insisted that I come in because she knew that I wanted to share my birthday with my little boy.  That was about 1:00.  They told me to come on up.  I was a little surprised to say the least!  I told Tony, called my parents, and away we were.  It all seemed surreal.  I couldn't believe it was actually happening.  I think I was in shock.  I couldn't believe that I had talked myself into having another baby!
We arrived with all of our gear to the hospital around 1:30.  They started me on Pitocin about 2:00.  I wasn't having any contractions so they bumped it up and broke my water.  Still nothing!  They bumped up my Pitocin again and within 1 hour I was feeling contractions.  Nothing horrible though but at least I was feeling something!  At around 4:30 I was feeling them pretty good.  It wasn't awful but I learned from Kenslee's labor not to wait too long.  I decided to go ahead with the epidural at that time.  After that was easy breezy! In fact, within 45 minutes of the epidural they checked me and I was ready to go!  I'm SO glad I chose to get the epidural when I did!!!  I have a very high pain tolerance and I still can't decide if that's a good thing or a bad thing!
He was born at 6:23 on January 26 and weighed 7lbs. 13 oz. and was 19 inches long and 1 pound of hair.  All my babies have tons of hair.  I think he had the least amount of all of them though.  Kenslee had the most.  We are enjoying this little bundle of boy!  He is a darn good baby too.  I love it.  I hope it keeps up:)
